Volunteers

The Ladner Village Market could not exist without the tremendous support of our volunteers.  Our volunteers aid us in:

• setting up of the market layout
• greeting our vendors on market days and directing them to the spaces
• aiding us with directing vendors to their parking lots
• manning our information booth
• sweeping up the streets at the end of the market
• updating our market signage throughout the community

Current Openings

 Vendor parking Team

The Ladner Village Market is looking for three volunteers to join our Vendor Parking Team in 2023 to assist with greeting our vendors at the entrances to the market, directing them to the check-in station, directing traffic for unloading and directing vendors to the assigned vendor parking lots.  The shifts would be 7am until 10am and we ask that volunteers be able to commit to a minimum of 5 of the 7 market days. The Ladner Village Market will provide traffic control vests. Due to the nature of this position, it is best suited to individuals who are 25 years or older.

Street Prep Team

The Ladner Village Market is looking for one or two volunteers to join our Street Prep team in 2023 to assist with prepping the village on market days.  This position includes wiping down all seating areas and trash receptacles within the market area. These shifts are from 7:30am until approximately 9am.  We ask that volunteers be able to commit to a minimum of 5 of the 7 market days.

Signage TEAM 

The Ladner Village Market is looking for one volunteer to join our Signage team in 2023 to assist with updating our community signage over the course of the season.  This position includes hanging our This Sunday and Today signs on our signboards throughout the community on Saturday evenings and removing them on Sunday evenings.  These shifts usually take 1.25 hours and the volunteer would need a vehicle and drivers license. We ask that volunteers be able to commit to a minimum of 5 of the 7 market days.

Paid positions

Each summer, the Ladner Village Market hires six to eight high school or university students to assist with the set up and take down of the market.  The Ladner Village Market will be considering candidates in for the 2023 season in June.  If you are interested in applying, please forward an email at that time to info@ladnervillagemarket.com. Priority will be given to candidates that are available for all five of the market dates and who are able to lift 50lb garbage bags.
